Baringhup ~ Maldon Community Bus

The Baringhup ~ Maldon Community Bus is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers who are passionate about increasing transport options for our local communities. A volunteer committee manages the day-to-day operation of the bus together with a dedicated team of volunteer drivers.

The bus was funded by a generous grant from the Maldon & District Community Bank, together with other funding from the Victorian government, the Shire of Mount Alexander and local community organisations – Baringhup Landcare and the Baringhup Community Committee.

For Bookings and Enquiries phone 0428 329 299 (9 am to 5 pm) or email:

The Community Bus is a wonderful resource for the people of Baringhup & Maldon. It provides affordable transport for those people who are isolated or disadvantaged, as well as those who wish to be actively involved in events or interests that they cannot access through the limited public transport currently available in Baringhup and Maldon.

The bus is available for hire by groups and individuals at the very reasonable rates of $100 per day or $50 per half day (+ fuel) for not-for-profit groups and $110/$55 for private individuals.  With a seating capacity of 12 (11 plus the driver), the cost per person can be a fraction of other forms of transport.
